Susan has directed her career to service related industries. She spent nine years in the recruiting industry working with human resource managers. Serving as a Director of Business Development in a graphic design firm, she sold design services to senior executives in finance, marketing and corporate communications.

In 1992, Susan directed her energy to benefits consulting. As an independent insurance broker, she merged her business with a regional insurance brokerage firm in 1997.

Susan’s approach to benefits selection is finding the most comprehensive yet cost effective benefit plans for both the employer and employee. Susan joined Hallier Reed, LLC to further develop and support her client base.

Susan earned her degree from Pittsburg State University and is a graduate of The Kauffman Foundation FastTrac Program for Entrepreneurs. She is the former Chair of the Board of Grandview, MO Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as Vice President of Programming for ABWA (America Business Women’s Association). She is a current member of the Greater Kansas City Association of Health Underwriters and the Kansas City, KS Chamber of Commerce.

She is an avid yoga practitioner and an aspiring yoga instructor.
